XRT x Tanvi: The Story Behind the Partnership

We have launched our latest XRT women’s collection in collaboration with our Brand Partner, Tanvi.

Tanvi is a full time content creator, presenter, consultant & athlete, and this is why she makes for the perfect brand partner of XRT.

Bold colours, shape-enhancing materials and squat-proof designs form the basis of this stunning range, and we’ve deliberately created pieces that work beautifully for women in their daily lives - from smashing out personal bests in the gym, to relaxing after a long day at work.

Our new gym-wear embodies Tanvi’s own desire to maintain her mental and physical health whilst balancing working as a full time content creator, presenter and consultant AND enjoying a busy social life! Tanvi herself left the corporate world in Banking and Finance to pursue her passion turned online business and uses her platform to motivate all women that they really can do it ALL!

To design a range that would work for her jam packed new lifestyle, we’ve used fabrics that remain comfortable all day long, and bright, 90s-inspired blues and pinks to inject a pop of colour into her gym sessions. From buttery-soft crop tops to supportive sports bras, seamless leggings and our first ever women’s shorts, each piece is flattering and easy to style individually or by mixing and matching across the range.

"An important element to this range is to increase the representation of women and women of colour in the fitness and sports industries. I’ve played hockey for the South of England, County Netball and University Lacrosse but I was the only South Asian woman in any of my sports teams. We want to be the drivers of much needed change; it doesn't matter where you come from, your shape or size, everyone should feel comfortable wearing gym-wear and working out!"

Whether you love the gym, long walks with your dog or dance class with your girls, exercise is for EVERYONE.

 

We asked Tanvi how the XRT collection plays a part in her new lifestyle as she embraces working for herself:

"I’ve always loved sports from a very young age; I’ve played hockey, netball and lacrosse competitively and recreationally for 20 years so exercise tends to be a non-negotiable for me. However, now that I am an entrepreneur, it has definitely proven challenging to ensure I am prioritising daily exercise but the collection itself makes me feel confident and gives me a reason to look forward to going to the gym. It sounds cliché but when I feel good on the inside, I perform better on the outside, and I believe the collection does just that!

Our Recharge Collection is comfortable to wear throughout the day which is crucial for me because I am generally in meetings or filming content before and after! It is also SO versatile and it can be styled up with accessories and outerwear which definitely makes my life easier if I have an event to attend on the same day."

 

Of course, we couldn’t release our latest women's range without asking which piece has become her firm favourite:

"I love every single piece of the collection for different reasons however my favourite set has got to be the Spark Set: the tilt sports bra and bionic leggings make for the perfect pair: The colour is so eye catching - it makes me feel like I am making a statement in the gym and my favourite part is that it compliments my brown skin perfectly!

The quality and fit of the bra really holds everything together and the leggings are so durable they are sweat and squat proof! It’s the perfect co-ord to layer a sweatshirt or a blazer with so it can immediately be elevated from day to evening!

This set is officially a MUST HAVE for my staple wardrobe for both everyday and workout outfits."

Given the demands of 21st century, multi-faceted women to balance their career, businesses and social lives, this collection is a fun and friendly reminder to our XRT community to take time for themselves and put health and wellbeing first. We asked Tanvi how she stays motivated to work out, even after her longest days:

Tanvi’s Top Tips for Staying Fit & Focused:

  1. Make it fun! Whether you find a gym buddy or put on your favourite podcast, working out does not need to be a chore or boring. There are tonnes of ways to make exercise enjoyable. You just need to experiment to find what works best for you!
  2. Have a plan and stick to it: consistency is key when it comes to maintaining discipline during a busy schedule. If you stick to a solid routine and allocate yourself set workout times on specific days, you’re a lot more likely to keep it up.
  3. Vary your forms of exercise - it’s so easy to forget that even the simplest things like walking down Oxford street or taking your dog for a walk count as forms of exercise! There are dance classes, group pilates sessions, one-to-one boxing classes and SO MUCH MORE! Mix it keep and keep things interesting so you always have something different to look forward to.
